Jamila Starwater Tazewell is an artist, writer and yogi whose mission is to inspire peace through beauty, symbolism and personal empowerment.
For over twenty years she has built creative businesses rooted in symbolic art — from 11:11 Enterprises to Starwater Yoga, her line of yoga mats, art prints, and silk pieces encoded with apotropaic symbols. In parallel she has studied and practiced Kundalini Yoga devotedly — through intensive trainings, daily sadhana, and years of weekly teaching. She leads workshops and teacher trainings with her husband, also a Kundalini yogi, teacher and writer. This book is a distillation of two decades of lived experience at the intersection of sacred art and yogic practice.
